The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) is proud to partner with the upcoming interprovincial funding opportunity: Nursing in Indigenous Research in Action (NIRA Chairs), led by the CIHR Institute of Indigenous Health that will be launched next October.

The program will support Indigenous-led, community-driven nursing research that advances culturally safe, anti-racist, and gender-responsive health systems for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

The NIRA Chairs Program aims to strengthen Indigenous-led nursing research across Canada by supporting research that reflects community-identified health priorities, enhances nursing and health systems knowledge, and contributes to the development of future nursing and health research leaders.
