The person responsible for access to information and the protection of personal information

The Access Act provides for the appointment of a person responsible for access to information and the protection of personal information (access officer) in each Québec public body. The person responsible for access is responsible for ensuring that the organization they represent fulfills its responsibilities with regard to access to information and protection of personal information. They are also responsible for receiving and processing requests for access to documents that are sent to the organization.
