Bilateral Program of Cooperation for Research between Québec and Flanders

1. CONTEXT

Since 2013, the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the Research Foundation – Flanders collaborate on a Bilateral Program of Cooperation for Research between Québec and Flanders. This third joint Call for Proposals is in the pathway of this long rich and continuous partnership.

2. OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of this Program is to contribute to the development of scientific excellence and cooperation by supporting and encouraging researchers from Quebec universities to collaborate with Flemish research partners. It aims to promote interdisciplinary (or FRQ inter-domain) and fundamental research between these two communities.

The call is open to all scientific fields covered by the FRQ (FRQNT, FRQS, FRQSC).

The results of the funded projects should particularly allow:

• Pooling of Quebec and Flemish expertise and experience;
• Consolidation of interdisciplinary teams;
• Carrying out projects that advance basic research.

3. CONDITIONS

Conditions are subject to Common General Rules (CGR), FRQ Open Access Policy for the Dissemination of Research, Policy for the Responsible Conduct of Research and Knowledge Mobilization Strategy. All conditions and modalities of this Call are detailed in the Guidelines for Applicants (mentioned above).

4. SUBMISSION

Note that only one submission is required. The proposal must be completed and submitted online on the FWO platform by the Flemish research team on behalf of the Quebec team.
