NOTICE – The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) was established on June 1, 2024, in accordance with the Act to amend the Act respecting the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation with respect to research. The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT), the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC) have since been regrouped into the new FRQ, which continues their existence. The rights and obligations of the FRQNT, FRQS and FRQSC have become those of the FRQ; activities continue as usual.

Please note that if you come across an old name or logo of one of the Fonds de recherche du Québec in the program rules or on the website, it should now read as follows:

  • The FRQNT becomes the Nature et technologies sector;
  • The FRQS becomes the Santé sector;
  • The FRQSC becomes the Société et culture sector.

1. Objectives

The Fonds de recherche du Québec – secteur Nature et technologies (FRQ) and CRIAQ aim to stimulate diversity, creativity, talent development, and the emergence of innovative individuals and technological entrepreneurs. This scholarship program is dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue university studies in aerospace.

2. Main Features

At the time of applying for the scholarship program, the scholarship applicant must be enrolled or in the process of admission to a study program at a Quebec university :

  • Including at least one session that will take place in Quebec in the summer of 2025, fall of 2025, or winter of 2026;
  • Leading to the attainment of a research-based master’s degree (with thesis) for master’s scholarship applicants or a research-based doctoral degree (with dissertation) for doctoral scholarship applicants;
  • In the field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related to aerospace;
  • Offered by a university located in Quebec.
