. Mission

Mission

Established in 2008, the mission of the Quebec Bio-imaging Network (QBIN) is to promote and facilitate fruitful collaborations between researchers all over Quebec interested in exploring specific research themes through bioimaging techniques in order to strengthen the leadership of Québec researchers on the national and international scenes. These themes include the investigation of normal and pathological functioning in humans, the effect of pathophysiological processes and therapeutic approaches to various diseases using animal models, and innovative methods of uni- and multi-modal in vivo or ex vivo image acquisition. Thus, the network aims to support a variety of scientific activities in both basic and clinical research, strategic initiatives, and structuring projects in the fields of research using imaging techniques in humans and animals. QBIN will strive to increase Quebec’s reach nationally and internationally and increase its already clear impact on the healthcare system by promoting the excellence of Québec’s research teams.
