The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé, in public-private partnership with Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI) and Janssen Inc., is pleased to announce the launch of a call for proposals aimed at mobilizing the scientific community, managers, health and social services professionals, community groups and individuals who rely on services or who live with a mental health problem, their family and their loved ones, in order to find new ways to respond to mental health issues. This call is part of the continuity of the Partenariat Innovation-Québec-Janssen (PIQ J).

The main objectives of the call for proposals are to:

  • Support the development and mobilization of new knowledge in mental health in Québec;
  • Develop innovative approaches to address mental health issues, departing from more traditional methods by asking applicant teams to step beyond the current scientific knowledge bases in mental health, neuroscience and their respective research fields;
  • Brings together the driving forces in mental health and neuroscience to give impetus to the advancement and application of knowledge in these interconnected fields.

Term and amount of the grant: maximum de $150 000/year, 3 years.
Deadline for pre-proposal: December 19, 2022, 4 p.m. 
Deadline for proposal: March 14, 2023, 4 p.m. 
Announcement of results: June 2023.
