The Chief Scientist and the three Fonds de recherche du Québec, in partnership with the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur (MES), are pleased to announce the launch of a call for proposals for the establishment of an observatory on student mental health in higher education (Observatoire sur la santé mentale étudiante en enseignement supérieur or OBSM).

The main objective in creating this Observatory is to support the development, acquisition and transfer of knowledge on student mental health. The Observatory should bring together expertise in the field, carry out research projects, and disseminate knowledge within higher education networks. Through their knowledge mobilization strategy, the Observatory’s researchers will inform and support higher education institutions in the implementation of their institutional policies relating to student mental health, creating a link between research and practice settings.

The budget envelope for this 5-year grant is $2,810,000. An additional $135,000 to cover indirect research costs will be available for managing institutions.

The application deadline is October 10, 2022 at 4 PM.
Details of the competition are available in the call for proposals .
Electronic application forms are available in the Competitions section of your E-portfolio (FRQnet).
