The Chief Scientist of Québec, together with the scientific directors of the three Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) and the Director of Societal Challenges and Intersectoral Networks (DSMI), today announced the list of research grant winners under the agencies’ intersectoral funding programs.

The fourth competition of the Audace intersectoral program and the first competition of Audace International Québec Luxembourg received many excellent and bold research proposals. After a relevance analysis of the letters of intent, scientific evaluation and interviews with an international committee, 13 research proposals were selected. These projects will receive a total of $1.5 million in funding from the three Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ). The Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) will award €125,000 to the Luxembourg team.

This year’s Platform of Funding Programs for Intersectoral Research on Aging call for proposals includes two funding components: Call for Solutions and Living Lab. This second competition of the FRQ program, which is funded in part by the Health and Social Services Ministry’s Secrétariat aux aînés, sparked intersectoral and collaborative research initiatives and generated valuable proposals for 5 Calls for Solutions and 4 Living Labs that will receive a total of more than $4.2 million in funding. Grant recipients under each component were selected based on scientific excellence, recommendations from an international peer committee, and the evaluation criteria presented in the call for proposals.

We offer our warmest congratulations to the funded teams. The members of each team, the title of their project and the amount of the grant are presented in the Table of results 2021-2022 for each program and in the FRQ Awards and grants recipients list, which can be accessed on the “Competition results 2020-2021” page. Conditional upon the allocation of credits voted by the National Assembly of Québec and the decisions of the boards of directors of the three Fonds, these grants may be modified at any time without notice.
