Mandates of the Vice-President of Research
As Vice-President of Research, Christian Agbobli ensures the smooth operation of the Society and Culture sector of the Fonds de recherche du Québec.
Appointed by the government on the recommendation of the board of directors, he is responsible for the vision, direction, and development of research in the Fund’s Society and Culture sector, while taking an intersectoral approach to addressing research issues. He works closely with the Chief Scientist and the two other scientific directors.
As Vice-President of Research, Christian Agbobli establishes the partnerships and collaborations necessary for his sector to carry out the Fund’s mission in Quebec and internationally.
He chairs the Fund’s Society and Culture Scientific Committee, which advises and makes recommendations to the Fund on active or emerging fields of research, programs, strategic planning, or any specific issues related to its mandates.
