The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé is pleased to announce the launch of the dual research chair program in artificial intelligence (AI) in health and life sciences. The first call having generated a lot of interest, we repeat with this second call.

The training of “bilingual” students and postdoctoral fellows, developing skills in the fields of AI and life sciences, is at the heart of this program. All graduated students and postdoctoral fellows will be in co-direction with the two co-holders of this chair. This co-management will allow them to be more agile and able to work simultaneously in both areas.

More generally, this program recognizes the excellence of researchers who have developed expertise in AI in health and digital health or wish to strengthen this expertise by joining forces with another researcher. The research program must address health issues.

Ultimately, the results of the joint research program of the co-holders and the training of their students and postdoctoral fellows should position Québec as a leader in digital health, both nationally and internationally.

The people who can apply to this call are:

  1. Researchers with expertise in the field of AI / data science and who may come from, among others, the fields of computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics.
  2. Researchers with expertise in the field of life sciences.

Statuses 1 and 2 of the CGR are eligible.

Deadline for pre-proposal: September 12, 2022, 4 p.m.

Deadline for proposal: November 22, 2022, 4 p.m.
