The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC), in partnership with the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec (MSSS), are pleased to announce the launch of a call for proposals aimed at improving knowledge on the health impacts of non medical cannabis use.

The research results of the funded projects should allow:

  • To improve knowledge of the health risks associated with the consumption of cannabis for non medical purposes, from the prenatal period to adult life;
  • To inform, raise awareness and support decision-makers and public health actions regarding the prevention and harm reduction associated with the consumption of cannabis for non medical purposes;
  • To support the development of public policies aimed at protecting the Québec population health.

Researchers whose project will be funded may receive a total maximum sum of $600,000 over a period of 2 or 3 years.

Application deadline : September 20, 2022 at 4 p.m.
