. Mission

The CSSS-IUGS seeks to improve the health and well-being of individuals by offering accessible, integrated, continuous, high-quality services. It also implements preventive and community-wide measures with its local partners. Research, education and knowledge-sharing are an integral part of its mission. In addition, the CSSS-IUGS responds to the needs of older persons by offering them both general and specialized care.

The scientific programming of the Department of Research of the affiliated university centre contributes to the development of the capacities of individuals and of communities. In this optic, the CSSS-IUGS counts on the mobilization, participation and reinforcement of the abilities and on the opportunities for self-realization of individuals and organizations within the territory to improve the health and well-being of the local population both at the individual and collective levels.
