Each year, the Fonds de recherche du Québec award prizes to current and future researchers, as well as research professionals, in order to recognize the excellence of their work.
The Research Professionals Excellence Awards
This award aims to recognize the contribution of research professionals to research, knowledge mobilization, training for new generations of researchers or supporting groups of researchers
Publications en français Award – pilot program
With this award, the Fonds de recherche du Québec wish to promote and value research publications in French, as well as encourage free access to research publications in French.
Relève étoile Award
The Relève étoile Award aims to recognize the excellence of the research carried out by Master’s and doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, as well as members of a professional order in advanced research training.
Relève étoile college level Award
Via its association with the Fonds de recherche du Québec, the Association pour la recherche au collégial (ARC) awards each year three mentions to students who have stood out through their research activities.
Support for the organization of international congresses
Two competitions, in partnership respectively with the Palais des Congrès de Montréal’s Club des Ambassadeurs and the Centre des congrès de Québec’s Cercle des Ambassadeurs, aim to recognize the work of researchers who invest in organizing an international scientific congress thus making it possible to promote the research community while generating significant economic benefits.
Jacques-Rousseau and Jeanne-Lapointe Awards
The Fonds de recherche du Québec are proud to sponsor Acfas’ Jacques-Rousseau and Jeanne-Lapointe Awards.
The Jacques-Rousseau Award is awarded to a researcher to underline the excellence and influence of their work who, beyond their field of specialization, established innovative bridges between different disciplines.
The Jeanne-Lapointe Award is awarded to a researcher to highlight the excellence and influence of their work and actions in the field of education sciences.

FRQNT’s Prix d’excellence
This prize aims to reward the exceptional contribution of a university or college researcher to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics and engineering, the recognition of his/her international achievements and their spin-offs for Québec.
